Amanda Davis

I graduated from Greenville High School and received a BS in Education from Florida State University. I began my teaching career in Birmingham, Alabama. I have taught in the public school systems of Madison and Suwannee County. In 1983, I began teaching at Melody Christian Academy, and shortly thereafter became principal. All four of my children graduated from Melody Christian Academy, and each went on to receive a 4-year college degree. My daughter Laura works alongside me in administration and as the athletic director. Her husband Darrin is the pastor of Melody Church. My daughter Leslie was Valedictorian of Florida State University Medical School. She now works at the Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville, FL, where she lives with her husband Michael. My son Frank teaches History, English Honors, and AP classes here at Melody, and lives in Live Oak with his wife, Jess. He is also involved musically in our church. My youngest daughter, Lisa, works as the Community Manager at the American Cancer Society in Panama City, where she lives with her husband Brad. My three grandbabies, Sophia, Isabella, and Darrin Christian, all attend Melody.

Andrew Lang

AP Coordinator/AP Calculus

I am the AP Calculus teacher and AP coordinator at Melody Christian Academy.  I grew up in Suwannee County and later attended Duke University, where I studied math, economics, and history.  I continued my studies with graduate coursework in finance, statistics, and real analysis at Duke and at Stanford University.  I currently run an educational consulting and tutoring services company, Academic Team.  I am very proud of the Advanced Placement program my colleagues and I have built at Melody.  In addition to offering 8 highly rigorous, college-level courses ranging from Calculus BC to Comparative Government, we have been able to help the first graduating class of our new AP curriculum to nearly $1 million in offers of federal scholarship aid and academic grants. Since that first year we have helped our students receive over $13 million in scholarships. I look forward to the privilege of serving you and your child with the same level of passion and excellence I strive for with these students.

Brandi Gregory

With a profound love for reading and writing, I attended the University of North Florida where I ardently studied literature and graduated with my Bachelor of Arts in English. It was my love for reading, writing, the formative years, and Jesus combined that brought me to Melody Christian Academy. I love what I do every single day and am so happy to be able to work and worship in the same place--I am blessed!

Frank Davis, Jr.

I graduated from MCA in 2003 and proceeded to obtain an AA from NFCC and a BA in English from Flagler College. The 2016-2017 school year marks my sixth year teaching at MCA. In addition to teaching standard social studies courses, I've had the privilege of teaching several AP courses, including AP U.S. History, AP European History, and AP Literature and Composition. Thanks to a remarkably supportive administration and a cooperative and driven staff, my time here at MCA has been especially fulfilling.

Stacey Henderson

Sign Language

I have been teaching at Melody Christian Academy for nine years now.  I have also worked in the public school system and at North Florida Community College interpreting for two years. I have continued my education through training at St. Augustine for the deaf and the blind.

I have been married for twenty-four years this year and together we have one biological son and one adopted son. Keeping up with two teenage boys keeps my husband and I both on our toes. Family is very important to us and we are blessed by all that God has entrusted to us.

I believe that teaching is a privilege gifted by God and I have been honored to be a part of this gift.  I not only enjoy being able to teach young people something that I am passionate about, but I am thankful for the lives that I am able to speak into.  My prayer is that when all is said and done they will remember a teacher who not only taught, but truly cared about who they were and where they were going in life!

Bobby Hofer

Amy Sansouci

Teacher’s Assistant

Born and raised in Live Oak, Florida I am proud to say I graduated from MCA in 1994. After graduation, I attended SFCC, where life happened and I married my sweet husband Bobby. Together we have three boys: Jaxon, Case, and River. After being a stay at home mom for twelve years, I knew I had more to offer. MCA seemed like the perfect fit since that was where my love for kids first began. I absolutely love looking at a child's face and seeing such excitement in their eyes about learning. I live for those little moments.

Linda Walker

Pastor Frank and Mrs. Amanda are the best people one could ever work with and for.
